João Felix face a career crossroads this summer, as he aims to stay Barcelona.

The Portugal international will not make a firm call on his plans until after Euro 2024, but the picture is unclear.

Félix has openly stated his desire to stay in Catalonia after spending the 2023/24 campaign on loan at La Blaugrana.

The parent club Atletico Madrid is open to a sale, but they will not move on an asking price of 80 million euros, that Barcelona cannot afford.

Barcelona continues to negotiate another loan with Atletico Madrid wish to insert a mandatory purchase clause in 2025.

As speculation continues to swirl, major questions have been raised about Felix's form and his long-term suitability for Barcelona.

Former Portugal international Maniche has offered his take on the situation and believes Felix's progress is on a downward spiral.

“You have to wonder why it is stagnant. In football, talent alone is not enough. You have to be competitive,” as quoted by AS Diary.

“Joao has talent, but we talked about it four years ago, and in all the clubs he has been, he has been very inconsistent.

“He needs to take a moment, think about what he did, and do things differently.”

Felix made seven The league goals in Barcelona last season, with ten in all competitions, equaling his best campaign tally for Atletico Madrid.
