The imminent departure becomes sweeter for Barcelona as the evaluation of the recovery clause has revealed
Barcelona is close to finalizing three departures: Vitor Roque, Clement Lenglet and Mikayil Faye. Only the latter will leave on a permanent basis, with Rennes having agreed a fee with the Catalan giants earlier this week.
MD have revealed the precise details of the agreement between Barcelona and Rennes. The Ligue 1 side will pay a fixed fee of €11 million for the 20-year-old defender, whose arrival should be made official in the next 24-48 hours.
In addition, Barcelona retained a sale and buyback clause. The first is worth 30%, so in case of sale of Rennes, they will receive a very healthy amount of the transfer fee paid. Perhaps even better is that his option to buy Faye back is only set at €25 million, significantly less than the 35 million euros that were initially reported.
Barcelona will receive 30% on a future sale of Mikayil Faye, and the buy-back clause is 25 million euros. @jbatalla7

On paper, this is an exceptional deal for Barcelona. Given the recovery option available, there is absolutely no doubt that club officials will keep an eye on Faye's progress in France.
