According to MarcoLaporta will testify regarding an alleged fraud case amounting to 4.7 million euros on Monday in a local court in Barcelona. The incident dates back to 2014, when a family (husband, wife and daughter) won 34 million euros in the lottery. When they went to buy a luxury car, they were advised to invest in companies promoted by Laporta.

The case revolves around a company in particular, CSSB Limited, where they invested 2.4 million euros over a period of three years with 6% annual interest. However, the defendants claim that the contract is invalid, due to the fact that it was drawn up in English and without a legible signature. Laporta acted as a consultant in the operation, and acted on behalf of CSSB Limited. The family was also invited to the VIP seats in the Camp Nou, but after the described period of time, it did not receive the promised money, and the company allegedly ended up with 4.7 million euros from the money that they invested.
