The Real Madrid starlet rejected La Liga's offer in the January transfer window

Real Madrid starlet Arda Guler seems to stay in the Spanish capital next season, after the coach Carlo Ancelotti's statement to this effect on Friday. It seems to end the uncertainty over the future of the 19-year-old, who has not played much under the Italian.

A month ago, Ancelotti's staff advised him to go on loan next season to continue developing. Sevilla and Real Betis, among many others, have reported that they have asked Real Madrid about the potential of a loan.

According to Cadena SER, via AS Diary, Guler has already rejected offers to leave Real Madrid in January, wanting to prove his worth at the Santiago Bernabeu. After Bayern Munich advanced a deal to sign Bryan Zaragoza six months ago, Los Nazaries contacted Guler, recently recovered from injury at the time, to offer his place in the team.

Those in Granada knew him from his time in Turkey, and have a good relationship with the teenager, but they saw his polite upbringing. As it was, Guler decided to stay at Real Madrid and fight for his place.

It took him until last weekend to earn his first league start, but he has already shown his quality, scoring twice in his limited opportunities. There is little doubt about his talent, and as Ancelotti remarked recently, he is “wronging someone” every game. Next season with the arrival of Endrick Felipe and potentially Kylian Mbappe, their opportunities threaten to be limited again.
