One of the most talked about rule changes brought in by UEFA for the start of Euro 2024 involved the referees. To rein in officials who are reprimanded and mobbed, European football's governing body has designed it so that only the team captain can approach a referee to question a decision – another player to do so would be carded yellow for a demonstration of dissent.

The new law has worked well, so much so that clubs across the continent are considering implementing it in their respective leagues. As reported by ReliefHe could come to Spain, with the Technical Committee of Referees (CTA) currently studying whether to incorporate him into the League.

The Referees Committee will meet before the start of the 2024-25 season to discuss numerous topics, one of which will be this new rule. Given how many yellow/red cards were shown The league over the years for dissent, it could end up being a particularly beneficial introduction in Spain.
