La Liga made it clear that Barcelona did not do enough to register Dani Olmo and Pau Victor in their statement before the end of December. Barcelona issued their own statement before that, explaining that they had applied for licenses from the Royal Spanish Football Federation (RFEF), but that they will do little for them according to the latest reports.

According to AS Diarythe RFEF has no intention of granting Barcelona those licenses without the green light from the League. They are keen to maintain the recently improved relations with the League, as evidenced by the president Rafael Louzan who appointed the president of the League Javier Tebas to his council. His information is that Barcelona tried to buy time by putting the problem in the hands of the RFEF, but they are not willing to participate. In the same way, MD corroborates this report by stating that the RFEF only ratifies the players' licenses, instead of making the decision.

It seems that Barcelona has no way out to cool down, and may have to face the music when it comes to the playing status of Olmo and Victor. The Blaugrana have leaked to the local press that they are staying convinced that they could register both playersand expects to be able to give more details about the third of January.
