Brighton have put Sheffield United to the sword, but Tom Davies' new haircut has arguably been more shocking.
The midfielder came on in the 79th minute at Bramall Lane with a very different cut to his familiar curly blonde locks.
Davies came onto the pitch wearing a striking mohawk, something that was jokingly labeled as worse than Sheffield United team-mate Mason Holgate's terrible challenge on Kaoru Mitoma, a tackle that earned the defender a straight red.
One fan said: “It has Tom Davies I lost a bet?”
Another said: “OMG Tom Davies…what a barnet.”
This fan added: “I hope Tom Davies did that for at least ten bucks…”
While another said: “I don't know what's worse, the boarding in Mitoma or Tom Davies' haircut.”
It was a miserable day for Chris Wilder's side as they succumbed to a 5-0 defeat against the Seagulls.
Goals from Facundo Buonanotte and Danny Welbeck five minutes into the first half put the visiting team in control.
In the first half Holgate was also dismissed for a great tackle on Brighton striker Mitoma.
Mitoma was in a position to continue when Brighton achieved a second-half rout with an own goal from Jack Robinson and a double from Simon Adingra making it 5-0.
The result leaves Sheffield United last in the Premier League with 13 points, while Brighton leapfrogged Newcastle into seventh.
