Paula Tomàs is set to serve a three-match suspension after an appeal to reduce her impending ban was unsuccessful.
Referee Ryan Atkin sent off the full-back for a challenge on Brighton & Hove Albion’s Kiko Seike in the 76th minute of Saturday’s clash with the Seagulls at Broadfield Stadium.
We appealed the decision in the hope of Paula being available for selection sooner rather than later, but we were unsuccessful.
Tomás will now not be eligible for Villa’s encounters with Leicester City, Manchester City and Liverpool in the coming weeks.
