Top five transfer targets for YOUR fantasy teams in Gameweek 4: Andrew Robertson looks back to his best, Joao Pedro is an absolute bargain – and which explosive Spurs star can hurt Arsenal according to FPL experts?

The international break has given fantasy managers time to pause and take stock of all the key events of the season so far ahead of FPL Gameweek 4.

Liverpool have enjoyed a strong start to the campaign under Arne Slot, securing three Premier League wins in three since Jurgen Klopp‘s exit, while Manchester City are continuing to flourish off the back of their fourth successive title last campaign, thanks in part to devastating star man Erling Haaland netting two hat-tricks already.

Meanwhile, Arsenal appear to be in dire straits ahead of Sunday’s hotly-anticipated North London Derby against Tottenham, with Declan Rice suspended and both Martin Odegaard and Riccardo Calafiori doubts after appearing to pick up worrying injuries on international duty.

But who is the best differential ahead of Gameweek 4? And who are the value players FPL managers should be targeting as the Premier League returns this weekend?

Fantasy Football Hub expert Holly Shand reveals who you should consider transferring into your FPL teams according to AI predicted points.

Erling Haaland beat away pressure from Mohamed Salah to remain the top captain pick for FPL Gameweek 4, ahead of the visit of Brentford to the Etihad.

Haaland is the standout performer for the season so far, with seven goals in four games, including back-to-back hat-tricks. That includes a hat-trick in his only home game of the campaign against promoted Ipswich Town.

The Norwegian sits top for shots on target with 10, shots in the box with 12 and big chances with seven, which demonstrates that his electric start to the season has been hard earned.

With his ownership increasing to two-thirds of managers, his days of being a differential captain are over. Opponents Brentford have failed to keep a clean sheet so far this season, conceding four goals in three games. Haaland scored the only goal in this fixture last season.

Best Differential Pick: Son Heung-min (£10.0m)

5.5 predicted points vs Arsenal (H)

The sheer depth of midfield options this season, particularly in the over £9.0million bracket, has seen Son Heung-min slip into the differential category, now in fewer than 10 per cent of sides.

He’s the best-predicted attacking differential for FPL Gameweek 4, despite a tricky fixture on paper in the North London Derby.

Spurs do have the home advantage for this game, with Arsenal expecting to be missing some key personnel: Rice is suspended, while Odegaard sustained an ankle problem on international duty with Norway. These absences are significant and will allow Spurs to be on the front foot.

Son enjoyed home comforts in Gameweek 2, where he scored a brace in the 4-0 win against Everton. He has the ability to rack up goals and assists, with two big chances created this season. It’s also thought that he remains first choice on spot-kicks as the Spurs captain and talisman.

Best Defender Pick: Andrew Robertson (£6.0m)

5.5 predicted points vs Nottingham Forest (H)

It’s Liverpool right-back Trent Alexander-Arnold who dominates among their most owned FPL players this season, but in the AI predictions it’s left-back Andrew Robertson who leads the way, by 0.1 points. He’s also a big differential, in just 6.5 per cent of teams.

Comparing this pair, it’s Robertson who has been the more attacking, registering two shots on target, including one big chance. Alexander-Arnold still has the creative edge with three big chances created but isn’t currently justifying the extra £1m.

Fantasy managers should consider rolling back the years by doubling up on these Liverpool full-backs ahead of the visit of Nottingham Forest. Liverpool are the only side to have not conceded a goal this season, with just five big chances registered on their goal.

Best Budget Midfielder Pick: Eberechi Eze (£6.9m)

7.2 predicted points vs Leicester City (H)

Eberechi Eze was a frustrating hold in the first two gameweeks of the season but rewarded the patience of his owners in FPL Gameweek 3 with a goal and all three bonus points against Chelsea. That’s seen his ownership remain stable heading out of the international break, with the Eagles talisman in 25 per cent of teams.

AI is still predicting him to score incredibly well going into a home game against promoted Leicester City, sitting third of all players on 7.2 predicted points.

His underlying numbers remain among the best in the league – second for shots on goal with 15, scoring from his one big chance registered. What’s more, the England star is also on penalties.

It’s not just goal threat though, with five key passes this campaign. He’s on some corners and free kicks for the Eagles too.

Home advantage should help Eze against a Leicester City defence without a clean sheet so far this season, conceding five goals in three games.

Best Budget Forward Pick: Joao Pedro (£5.7m)

5.5 predicted points vs Ipswich Town (H)

Brighton striker Joao Pedro is the most transferred in player ahead of FPL Gameweek 4, with over three quarters of a million managers recruiting him to their forward lines ahead of a home game against promoted Ipswich Town.

With three home games in their next four, this is the time to invest.

He earned a late call up to the Brazil international squad over the break, but having not featured against Ecuador in their World Cup Qualifier, he should be fresh for Gameweek 4. He has scored in each of Brighton’s last two games, completing 90 minutes on each of those occasions. And, like Eze, he is also on penalties.

Competition for places is increasingly high in the Seagulls’ attack, but Pedro seems to be a trusted favourite under Fabian Hurzeler.

Opponents Ipswich Town have conceded seven goals in their opening three games, including shipping four to Manchester City in their only away trip.
