Tottenham Hotspur are keeping a close eye on Cercle Brugge centre-forward Kevin Denkey but face competition from a number of European clubs. according to Foot Mercato.
Denkey has been in sensational form for Cercle Brugge this season, playing a pivotal role in keeping their European aspirations alive. Togo International has scored 22 of the club's 38 goals, emerging not only as the club's top scorer, but also the Jupiler Pro League's top scorer.
The former Nîmes Olympique striker is also fighting for the coveted European Golden Boot alongside the likes of Harry Kane, Lautaro Martínez, Luuk De Jong, etc., as he is currently the ninth top scorer in Europe.
His scoring ability has caught the attention of several European clubs in England, Germany and France. Mercato reports that representatives from Borussia Dortmund and Tottenham have been regularly present to watch the 23-year-old, most notably in the derby between Cercle Brugge and Club Brugge in the Jupiler Pro League.
The report also reveals that a top Ligue 1 club is also keeping an eye on the centre-forward.
Postecoglou needs depth in the team
It is believed that his performances in the Belgian first division will allow the Círculo de Brujas to increase his transfer valuation with Mercato reporting that Groen at Zwart has set an asking price of £17m (€20m), a valuation that aligns with the sales of some of the best centre-forwards to emerge from the League, including Paul Onuachu, Jonathan David, Victor Bonifacio, etc.
Despite Richarlison's recent surge in form, Spurs would relish the opportunity to bring back the prolific centre-forward to bolster their attack next season.
