Tottenham manager Ange Postecoglou gave a fiery but evasive post-match interview following the 2-1 defeat to Newcastle.

“Excellent effort from the players, I couldn't be more proud of them,” Postecoglou said when giving his assessment of the match.
“From start to finish, I thought our effort, our football, our willingness to try and play how we want, the situation we were in, was just brilliant.
“On any other day, on a fair and equal playing field, we would have won that game.”
Matterface asked Postecoglou to clarify his comment, but Postecoglou hastily responded: “Only that we would have won that game if it had been a level and fair playing field, man.”
Matterface then asked what he thought was unfair about the match, but the Spurs manager offered another frustrated response.
“I think it's pretty evident what was unfair,” he said.
Once again, Matterface asked for clarity on whether it was the officials who harassed Postecoglou.
The Tottenham manager responded: “Don't you want to have an opinion, do you want to ask my opinion? My opinion is that it wasn't a level playing field and a fair playing field, that's all.”
For the fourth time, Matterface asked what initially bothered Postecoglou.
Postecoglou responded: “Nothing bothered me.
“I loved the way my players played and on any other day, that performance would have gotten the three points.
“Everything we did was excellent and we deserved to win that game.
“You don't want to say anything? Okay. Do you want me to say something? No, I'm just telling you that we deserved to win today.”
Spurs face Liverpool in the first leg of their Carabao Cup semi-final on Wednesday, live on talkSPORT, with injury problems lingering.
“We will go out and play our football like we did today,” Postecoglou said about how difficult it will be against the reigning champion.
“Hopefully on Wednesday night the playing field will be a lot fairer and more equal.”
Matterface finally asked how worrying it is that Spurs have won one of their last eight league games, but Postecoglou has had enough.
“I love the way we played today, I love the way we played,” he said before leaving.
Tottenham took an early lead when Dominic Solanke headed in from Pedro Porro's excellent cross.
Gordon equalized just two minutes later, before Alexander Isak scored the winning goal from close range before the break.
Spurs' first-choice goalkeeper Guglielmo Vicario remains absent through injury and his replacement Fraser Forster missed the game through illness.
As a result, Postecoglou gave Brandon Austin his senior debut between the sticks.
