Tottenham Hotspur could still sign two more players before Friday's deadline, according to the transfer expert Fabricius Romano.
The Lilywhites have strengthened their midfield with the signing of Archie Gray from Leeds United. Lucas Bergvall also joined the club this summer, but his move was finalised earlier this year.
Ange Postecoglou has also decided to sign Dominic Solanke from AFC Bournemouth in a club-record £65m deal to bolster the attacking department.
However, speaking of Give me sport, Roman It has now been reported that Spurs may not be done yet this window and could be working behind the scenes to add more reinforcements as they have already done.
The journalist also claims that the north London club could make two more signings before Friday's deadline, but did not mention the positions they could reinforce or their possible targets.
Tottenham want a double whammy
Romano said:
“I wouldn’t rule out anything from Tottenham. Apart from Solanke, who was always the main target, all the other signings have been kept very well in the background. I think for Tottenham, there is still the possibility of making one or two more signings. I’m not sure it will be two, but it could be. I think Tottenham are going to be one of the clubs to watch in the final days.”
Tottenham are lacking depth at centre-back, so Postecoglou would benefit from signing a new defender. It has been reported The Lilywhites could sign a new wide attacker, and Eberechi Eze has been suggested as a serious option. It will be interesting to see who the north London club ultimately sign in the coming days.
As well as signing new players, Tottenham have also been busy selling their stars this summer. Piere-Emile Hojbejrg has joined Olympique de Marseille, while Bryan Gill has signed for Girona.
Emerson Royal has also been sold to AC Milan and Oliver Skipp has joined Leicester City. Ryan Sessegnon has also left the club upon expiry of his contract and has now returned to his former club Fulham.
Additionally, Sergio Reguillon and Giovani Lo Celso are expected to leave the club before the end of this transfer window.
