Tottenham fans warned Ange Postecoglou would 'leave Spurs' to replace Jurgen Klopp at Liverpool
Tottenham manager Ange Postecoglou would relish the opportunity to take over as Liverpool manager in the summer.
That's the view of talkSPORT pundit and former Reds winger Jermaine Pennant, who believes Postecoglou is the right man to replace. Jurgen Klopp.
Klopp's explosive interview in January shocked the football world when he announced will leave Liverpool at the end of the season.
Bayer Leverkusen coach Xabi Alonso was strongly linked to the seizure of power, although it seems set to remain with the Bundesliga for at least one more season.
Both Brighton Coach Roberto De Zerbi and Sporting Lisbon coach Ruben Amorim are now considered favorites for the job, while Julian Nagelsmann is also in the running.
However, Pennant wants Liverpool to attack their Premier League rivals for Postecoglou.
“I'd like to see (Ange) Postecoglou there,” Pennant told Jason Cundy at the Sports Bar.
“He's probably in the conversation. The way Spurs were and the way they are now is night and day, and that's a credit to him.
“I think so Liverpool He came knocking on the door and said: 'Here you go mate, come in, Klopp is leaving', I think he was abandoning ship.
“The reason I say this is because Liverpool will always be fighting for titles, the Champions Leagueand the first division.

“They've won everything nationally in the last eight or seven years.
“If he is in SpursThey haven't earned anything in donkey years.
“If Liverpool knock on the door, I think they will abandon ship. Why wouldn't you manage a better team?
“And I'm sure you'll be among the winners. I'd like to see Postecoglou there.”
It remains to be seen who will replace Liverpool's German at the end of the season.
Many believe these are big shoes to fill, but Klopp insists there is still much more to achieve at Anfield.
Speaking earlier this month, he said: “I really think it's the perfect time for a new manager and not the wrong one because we didn't win everything, we left spaces.”
Klopp added: “Go to City after Pep Guardiola and you need to be champions 10 years in a row to achieve the same! Maybe it was a good thing that's why we didn't emerge champions with 97 points.”
