Tottenham Hotspur are 'considering' a move for Nottingham Forest winger Callum Hudson-Odoi, according to The Guardian.

The England International was offered to Spurs last summer when it was deemed surplus to requirements during his time in Chelseabut the north London side rejected the plans and instead opted for a £47m move for Brennan Johnson from Forest on deadline day.

However, The Guardian reports that Spurs' view of Hudson-Odoi has changed since his £3m move to Forest, where he had a stellar first season; and now they have him on their short list for what will be an active summer.

The former Cobham academy graduate finished the season as Forest's second-highest scorer in the first division with eight goals and Forest could be tempted to sell the £80k per week extreme for a considerable fee, according to the report.

Ange Postecoglou wants to strengthen his attack after a season plagued by injuries. With next season's hectic match schedule following their qualification for the European Leaguea blow for Hudson-Odoi, who is valued at a relatively modest €15m (£12m) per Transfer marketcould prove to be a bargain for the Lilywhites.

Reinforcement

Spurs have just completed the 2023-24 season in fifth place and despite spending the first three months at the top of the table, the drop in form and inconsistency can be attributed to injuries suffered by key players.

In what will be a very active activity transfer window for the north London team, Postecoglou seeks to reinforce his team with sufficient depth and one of the areas he seeks to strengthen is his attack.

Spurs have booked Hudson-Odoi for a possible transfer, and bringing a versatile prodigy to the New Tottenham Hotspur Stadium will give Postecoglou a wide range of attacking options. The Englishman can comfortably play any role on the flank, and his vision and creativity also make him an ideal choice for the number 10 role.

The Spurs, who are currently on break, will return to preseason action on July 27 for a J. League World Challenge against Japanese team Vissel Kobe.
