Tottenham identify Conor Gallagher and Timo Werner as 'transfer priorities'
According to the mirror, Tottenham Hotspur manager Ange Postecoglou has recognized Conor Gallagher and Timo Werner as his 'transfer “priorities” for next summer.
Despite a good start to the season, Tottenham were two points behind Champions League place after finishing fifth in the table. However, Postecoglou will have the support of Daniel Levy to renew the team in the transfer window.
The Australian has been clear that the club has “work to do” after describing Tottenham's foundations as “fragile” following the team's 2-0 defeat to city of manchester last week.
BBC quoted him saying the following:
“I think, as I said at the time (after City's defeat), we have work to do. It is clear and evident and that is what we must focus on.”
Tottenham have already identified their targets for the summer and the Mirror claims that Gallagher and Werner are “priorities”. Spurs could also give the green light to up to five departures in the coming weeks, notably those of Richarlison and Yves Bissouma, to make room for new arrivals.

Gallagher's contract with Chelsea expires next year. The Blues They can sell it this summer to avoid losing it for free in 2025, as well as to avoid a possible violation of Financial Fair Play.
Tottenham maintain a “long-standing interest” in the Englishman and would “re-enter” the race for his signature if Chelsea decide to sell him, says the Mirror.
A decision from Stamford Bridge is expected sooner rather than later and Spurs will undoubtedly be in the mix to take advantage of any possible opportunity. Gallagher is valued at £41 million in Transfer market.
They will also need to sign a striker and Postecoglou, along with Daniel Levy, will make a decision on whether the club will exercise their option to buy Werner, which is worth around £14.6m.
The north Londoners have until June 14 to make a decision on the German marksman, the report adds, after Werner's loan spell was cut short by a hamstring injury after impressing in his early days.
If they manage to sign Gallagher and Werner, the Lilywhites would be set back by around £55m, which can be considered a reasonable investment for two quality acquisitions.
