Tottenham Hotspur is reported to be in a battle with Liverpool over a deal to sign Fulham star Tosin Adarabioyo this summer, according to a recent report.

After joining the Cottagers in 2020, the 26-year-old has established himself as a key player in Marco Silva's starting XI in recent years.

However, speculation about his future has been growing of late, as he has entered the final months of his current contract and is yet to sign a new contract.

So, it seems that Liverpool and Tottenham are looking to sign the defender as a free agent taking advantage of his current contract. Now, according to the report Sun(through Transfers), Spurs are interested in signing a new defender and have identified the Fulham star as a serious target.

The report further claims that Adarabioyo is willing to leave Fulham at the end of this season so Tottenham can secure his service if they formalize their interest.

However, it has been suggested that Liverpool are also interested in signing him and, furthermore, AC Milan are also planning a raid for him, so the Lilywhites will face fierce competition from their rivals to secure any potential deal for him. .

With Joel Matip's contract expiring at the end of this season and him likely to leave the club as a free agent, Liverpool need to sign a new defender to replace the African.

Adarabioyo – valued at around £13 million per Transfer market – is a talented player and has already demonstrated his qualities in the first division so he would be a shrewd signing for Liverpool to replace Matip if they buy him.

On the other hand, Adarabioyo, who is 6ft 4in tall, would also be an excellent acquisition for Tottenham should they acquire his service, especially considering that a player of his qualities will be available on a free.

However, it will be interesting to see whether the north London club or the Merseyside club snap up his service if he eventually leaves Craven Cottage at the end of this campaign.
