Tottenham Hotspur has joined the likes of Arsenal in the race to sign talented 19-year-old Club Brugge winger Antonio Nusa, according to Spanish publication Transfers.

Nusa has been a name on the lips of some of Europe's top clubs for quite some time now. Brentford tried to sign him in January, beating Tottenham to £25m deal but eventually the move failed and Nusa remained at Club Brugge.

Since then, Nusa has continued to perform at the highest level and a big move could await him this summer. Signings say Tottenham are showing great interest once again but face tough competition from Arsenal and Chelsea.

Mikel Arteta looks to strengthen its attack this summer to provide more support to Bukayo Saka and the Arsenal boss could be considering Nusa as the candidate for the job.

In 41 games in all competitions this season, Nusa scored four goals and provided four assists. Transfermarkt values the talented teenager in around £14.5 million although Club Brugge are likely to ask for a fee closer to the £25m Brentford agreed in January.

In line with the philosophy?

Since Ange Postecoglou took over as Spurs coach, there has been a very clear change in transfer policy. Tottenham have shown a tendency to sign young players with high potential in recent transfer windows and signing Nusa would be in line with that strategy.

Although teams such as Arsenal and Chelsea are also linked with a move for the teenage sensation, Nusa may feel there is a greater chance of playing regularly in the first team at Tottenham. Interestingly, Fichajes says that Tottenham see Nusa as a “key” part of his project, so that could convince him to move to the new Tottenham Stadium.

Postecoglou has had an excellent first season at the helm of the N17, but Champions League Qualification is still up for grabs. A good performance at the end of the season would go a long way towards returning Spurs to Europe's elite competition and help them attract more talent in the summer.

At this age, Nusa has his entire football career ahead of him. The sky is the limit if he continues to work on his potential and become a better version of himself.

Let's wait and see which club signs him this summer, but it looks like Arsenal and Tottenham could be ready to fight over a deal.
