Grealish's production has been affected by the former. Villa Aston The captain only recorded two assists, both in September.
The England international has not scored in over 12 months, having registered just three goals during City's 2023/24 title-winning campaign.
According to the Daily Mail, Grealish could leave City this month, with both Spurs and Newcastle monitoring his situation.
The report states that Kyle Walker He is also considering his options for a possible exit.
Manchester City boss pep guardiola He previously ruled out the idea of players leaving in January, but the prospect of increased playing time could prove too tempting for Grealish, in particular.
It is also reported that any move for Grealish from Spurs will likely be a short-term loan on the condition that City continue to pay a large portion of his £300,000-a-week salary.
That would see him eclipse Son Heung-min as Tottenham's highest-earning player if a move to north London were to materialise.
A partnership with Ange Postecoglou would not be a surprise for talkSPORT Troy Deeney who recently suggested Grealish move to Spurs should he leave the Premier League champions.
When asked who Grealish could join if he opted to leave City, Deeney said: “Spurs, he fits into that team in every position.
“Whether as a winger, number 10 or number 8. Arsenal, no, I don't think he works at Arsenal. LiverpoolHe doesn't do it in Liverpool.
“Obviously he's not going to manchester unitedbut it's better than what they have.
“Anyone outside the top four would come in easily and dominate – if he went to Newcastle it would be considered a big step down for him.
“But it's a big club with a big fan base and I think Jack needs to feel that again, feel like he's loved, feel like the fans love him, but he's also the man who will drive them forward.”
Grealish is halfway through the six-year contract he signed when he joined Manchester City for a British record £100million transfer fee from Aston Villa.
Tottenham's interest in Grealish dates back to 2018, when they attempted to sign him after Aston Villa missed out on promotion to the Premier League.
Spurs submitted a bid of £25m, a whopping £15m below Villa's valuation of £40m.
Grealish's last appearance for Manchester City was before Christmas, when he played 90 minutes and was booked against his former club.
He has since missed one match through illness and did not take part in the long-awaited victory over Leicester.
The winger hopes to be present for City's next clash, which will be against West Ham at the Etihad on January 4.
If Tottenham make a move for Grealish, the games in early 2025 could be the last for the reigning champions.
