Tottenham Hotspur could rekindle their pursuit of Club Brugge winger Antonio Nusa in the summer after a late move fell through in January, according to Soccer insider information.

The 18-year-old has burst onto the scene of late after showing promising performances in the Pro League this season. It seems that, impressed by the Norwegian's recent performances for Club Brugge, Spurs have opted to show interest in him this winter.

Soccer insider information claims Tottenham came close to signing Nusa last month but a late deal “fell through”. Spurs wanted to sign Nusa and loan him back to Brugge for the rest of the season and a deal was close to being finalised, but they failed to do so.

According to the report, a proposed £25 million move to Brentford also fell through after a problem was flagged during Nusa's medical, so he remained at Bruges until the end of the season.

However, according to Soccer insider information, Nusa will finally leave at the end of this season and Tottenham could now rekindle their interest in the highly-rated winger. The north London club could face stiff competition from the Bees to complete any potential deal as they could also attempt to buy Nusa next summer.

Nusa to Tottenham

Nusa is a highly talented player and has the potential to become a top striker in the future. He is quick, technically sound, can dribble past opposing defenders in tight areas, has the efficiency to finish off chances and can create opportunities for his attacking teammates.

Therefore, he would be a wise signing for Tottenham for the long-term future if they acquire him. However, considering a problem was detected during his medical with Brentford, there are concerns over whether it would be the right decision to sign him.

Meanwhile, after a disappointing draw against Everton Last weekend, the Spurs dropped out of the top four places. Therefore, they hope to return to winning ways by defeating Brighton and Hove Albion in the first division next Saturday.
