With Fraser Forster ill after contracting a virus that infiltrated the Tottenham camp, Ange Postecoglou is expected to give goalkeeper Brandon Austin, 25, his first senior start in English football after five years at the club.
A somber Ange revealed yesterday that Destiny Udogie is expected to be out for at least six weeks with a hamstring injury, with the Spurs full-back joining a long list of those lame and detained in the treatment room at the Tottenham.
The names of Guiglielmo Vicario, Mikey Moore, Richarlison, Micky van de Ven, Ben Davies, Cristian Romero and Wilson Odobert are currently listed, while Djed Spence and Rodrigo Bentancur will miss today due to suspension.
Newcastle are without Fabian Schar, who joins Spence and Bentancur at Naughty Step, while Nick Pope, Callum Wilson, Jamaal Lascelles and Emil Krafth remain out through injury. Sven Botman is expected to undergo a late fitness test and could make his first appearance for Newcastle since last March after recovering from a serious knee injury.

Tottenham Hotspur drew with Wolves last time out, while Newcastle's most recent outing saw them humiliate Manchester United on their own turf at Old Trafford as they kept a fourth consecutive clean sheet in the top flight.
