talkSPORT understands that Spurs They fear that Vicario could be away for months and will consider it signing of a new goalkeeper in January.

Fraser Forster, 36, will take up the role in the coming weeks as Ange Postecoglou endures a hectic festive period.

However, if Spurs were interested in a younger face in goal then they could look closer to home and play academy graduate Alfie Whiteman.

Whiteman joined the North London team's youth set-up and even managed the team with Robbie Keane as mascot in 2007.

And 13 years later he made his senior debut with José Mourinho.

The 26-year-old's first and only appearance for the club was from the bench in the 4-0 Europa League win at home to Ludogrets.

He then spent two seasons at Swedish top-flight side Degerfors IF in 2021 and 2022, but has not played for any other team since.

Although Whiteman has played only eight minutes of football on the field for the Spurs, he certainly has an interesting life off of it.

DJing is one of his passions, and the bouncer made his debut on London-based radio station NTS Radio earlier this year.

Psychedelic rock and soul were just two of the genres on his hour-long debut, and he said Mixmag: “This was the first time I did a live show.

“Before this, I would just make mixes and playlists on my laptop and share them with friends.”

Whiteman added: “I've always had a deep interest in listening to and discovering new music, so I welcomed this opportunity.”

His musical taste spans a wide range of artists and bands, and when Spurs asked him who he would like to see live, he replied saying: “I would love to see Radiohead, I think they would be great.

“But if I could pick anyone, I'd probably say Al Green. There are so many, it's a long list and people like Nina Simone and Miles Davis at the height of the jazz scene would have been incredible.

“And I'd rather see them perform in a small, intimate club than a big venue.”

Whiteman extended his love of music to the younger community in March by visiting Project 2020 in Northumberland Park.

Haringey Council's scheme offers a safe space and activities for young people aged 11 to 19, with the Spurs man performing an unscripted DJ set.

Away from the plates, Whiteman also likes to appear with and in front of the camera with his photography and modeling.

A series of talent snapshots appear on her personal Instagram page, as well as photographs of her parents on their wedding day.

Whiteman is also represented by London-based modeling agency Storm Management, which has featured his poses on Instagram.

In August 2021, aged 22, he signed for Degerfors for the first time and played 13 games towards the end of his campaign.

In February of the following year his return to the club was sealed and he played a further 21 games, with Whiteman opting for a different style of accommodation.

“I lived in a very small town, 20,000 people, so it was quite a radical change for London,” he told Spurs. Ready-made podcast.

“I grew up in London, in the city. Like Sweden, my mother is half Finnish, so I was in Finland. Sweden had similarities and is beautiful, the forests, the lakes and everything.

“I was there alone and no one could visit me because of COVID travel restrictions and I thought, 'I'm going to make the most of this situation.'

“I went on Airbnb and found this cabin near the training ground. It had a sauna, the water would come from the lake and it had a dock out to the lake, the bathroom was like a hole and it was really good.

“I would make a fire and sit outside, and winter came and it became very complicated, it's very cold in Sweden. Then I came back, so I did a season because their seasons are different, they do it all year round.

“So I did half a season, I came back in January, the coaches changed, a new coach, I came back, I thought: 'I'm going to go back on loan and do a full season.'

“I came back to Sweden for the second time because the first time I went to that cabin twice but it was winter, the second time was when I got engaged.

“My teammates were like, 'Are we going to find out there's going to be a documentary and you're going to have to cover all these bodies they found?' I was like, 'No, no!' But it was great, it was a new experience.”

Whiteman has not been named in any of the Spurs squads this season, but Postecoglou could give him the nod while Vicario is out.

They will face Roma, live on talkSPORT 2 on Thursday, and Rangers in the Europa League before the end of the year between a number of Premier League clashes.

Fulham, Newcastle and Liverpool are just some of the tests ahead, plus a big home game against rivals Chelsea.

A Carabao Cup quarter-final match against Manchester United is also on the agenda as Spurs prepare for numerous tough clashes.

The experienced Foster may well be the starting goalkeeper during this time, but Whiteman could get the chance to play himself as he rivals Brandon Austin for the No. 2 spot.
