The first half of the season has been disastrous for Valencia, and their poor form has meant that they occupy a place in the La Liga relegation zone. New coach Carlos Corberan has been tasked with guiding Los Che out of trouble, although he needs transfer help for that.

On the second day of the 2025 winter transfer window, Valencia have already agreed their first deal – and it's for Umar Sadiq. Ace for AS DiaryReal Sociedad have allowed the Nigerian striker to make the move to Mestalla on loan for the rest of the season.

Sadiq is expected to join Valencia next week, meaning he will miss Friday's game against Real Madrid.

Valencia they have struggled for goals this season, so bringing in Sadiq should help in that regard. It will be interesting to see if it affects the future of Rafa Mir, as he has been linked with a return to Sevilla.
