Last summer, Valencia expected Giorgi Mamardashvili to advance, although as it turned out, no offer came in that matched their assessment of the Georgian goalkeeper. The same situation seems to be happening again this time, with Los Che bracing themselves for the loss of one of their key players.

However, the move has already been made to sign a replacement for Mamardashvili, in the event that he moves. Relief they reported that Valencia has reached a verbal agreement with Stole Dimitrievski, who is very unhappy about a move to Mestalla, after missing out in 2019.

Dimitrievski is out of contract at Vallecano Ray at the end of the season, and seems destined to pass. Villarreal and Sevilla have both shown interest in signing him, but it is Valencia that is his preferred destination.

However, nothing has yet been written as Valencia they are unwilling to commit to the deal without knowing whether Mamardashvili has a realistic chance of leaving this summer. If he does, Dimitrievski will be his replacement.
