Since last week, there has been quite a large cloud over Valencia. Rafa Mir was arrested on suspicion of sexual assault, and although he was released a couple of days later, he remains under investigation.

Valencia is still looking into the matter, and in the meantime, Mir has been excluded from the first team. He is also expected to receive a hefty fine from the club in the coming weeks.

Pepper became the first Valencia player, apart from Mir himself, to deal with the situation. He didn't pull his punches when talking about his teammate, as per Marco.

“It's a disrespect for the club and the fans that they can't tolerate. It's a difficult situation for him. And I hope and I want him to learn and that obviously it will never happen again.

“We are not in a situation for this kind of thing. The coach told him clearly, and also the club. He is aware that he did things very badly.”

Mir has denied any wrongdoing, and the respective investigations will continue for the time being.
