Last summer, Valencia caused a stir by activating the release clause of Pepelu, who had signed a 10-year contract at Levante just a year earlier. It was excellent business in the end as the 25-year-old enjoyed a fantastic 2023-24 season. 12 months after that agreement, the two clubs are about to finalize another operation.
As reported by AS Diary, Valencia and Levante have agreed terms for the loan of Dani Gomez to Los Che. The 26-year-old striker, who scored five goals in 26 Segunda appearances last season, is set to become the third arrival at Mestalla this summer, following Stole Dimitrievski and Rafa Mir.
The deal between Valencia and Levante will also have a purchase option. If Gomez impresses Ruben Baraja during the 2024-25 campaign, he can be signed permanently for €1.5 million.
Gomez had been managed by Baraga before, in Tenerife. It was on the side of the Canary Islands that he was in his best form, so Valencia hope that a meeting will be very fruitful.
