Aston Villa will face LOSC Lille in the UEFA Europa Conference League quarter-finals.

Unai Emery’s side have been drawn against the French club, who finished fifth in Ligue 1 last season and are currently fourth in the standings.

The first leg is scheduled to take place at Villa Park on Thursday, April 11 and the second leg a week later in Lille on Thursday, April 18.

Villa progressed into the last eight having finished top of Group E before overcoming Ajax 4-0 on aggregate in the round of 16.

Lille also finished at the summit of their qualifying table, Group A, before seeing off Sturm Graz 4-1 in the previous round.

Villa previously met Lille in the 2002 UEFA Intertoto Cup, drawing 1-1 in France before falling to a 2-0 home defeat to exit the competition 3-1 on aggregate.

Friday afternoon’s draw in Nyon, Switzerland featured the eight winners from the round of 16.

A draw was also completed for the semi-finals and final of the competition.

Villa or Lille will face either Olympiacos or Fenerbahçe in the last four, with Viktoria Plzeň or Fiorentina coming up against Club Brugge or PAOK in the other semi-final.

The winners of semi-final 1 (Villa, Lille, Olympiacos or Fenerbahçe) will also be deemed the ‘home’ team in the final for administrative purposes.
