Villans held at home

Aston Villa were held to a 2-2 draw at home to Crystal Palace on Saturday, on their return to Premier League action. 

The Villans were twice made to come from behind at Villa Park, battling back to secure a point in their first game out of the international break. 

Ollie Watkins’ neat finish restored parity in the first period after Ismaïla Sarr’s early goal had put Palace ahead, before Ross Barkley’s header 13 minutes from time cancelled out Justin Devenny’s strike on the stroke of half-time to earn Unai Emery’s side a share of the spoils.
