Villarreal had a very busy – and expensive – week. They have closed the signings of Luiz Junior and Thierno Barry from Famalicao and FC Basel respectively, and have now secured the final piece in the puzzle that manager Marcelino Garcia Toral was looking for: a new centre-back.
It was reported on Wednesday that Villarreal were close to agreeing terms with Toulouse for Logan Costa. Little more than 24 hours later, the agreement was confirmed by the Yellow Submarine, who took their signatures during this summer's transfer window to eight.

Costa could be added to Marcelino's squad for Friday's match against Sevilla at the Ramon Sanchez-Pizjuan. Villarreal he will believe that they have a serious talent on their hands, and it remains to be seen how the adaptation from French football to Spanish is done.
