Amid many discussions about the future of Vinicius Junior after his second place in the Ballon d'Or, fresh news has emerged about his contract situation. The Brazilian left the chance to tie his future to the club for longer.
His current contract runs until 2027, and after talk of a €1bn contract offer from Saudi Arabia in the summer, Real Madrid have contacted Vinicius'agents to discuss a new deal for him. However Relief note that, while Vinicius thanked him for his interest, and listened to his offer, he did not enter into discussions with Los Blancos.

Vinicius has a good contract, and is in no rush to enter into talks for a new one, as he is “waiting for the best possible moment” to reopen talks with Real Madrid. His club wanted to give him the star treatment after the arrival of Kylian Mbappe, and sees him as one of the key players for his side.
Given the reports that Vinicius is mentally at his limit to Real Madrid, and the persistence of the story of Saudi Arabia, without a doubt, the Whites keep a very close eye on the situation. All the same, from the player's point of view, it makes much more sense to open discussions with one or two years of his deal, since he will have more leverage at that point.
