Aston Villa advanced to the fifth round of the Women’s FA Cup last night as they defeated Bristol Rovers 9-0 at the Bescot Stadium.
A brace from Rachel Daly and a close-range strike from Gabi Nunes inside the opening eight minutes put the Villans firmly in control of the tie.
Paula Tomàs’ first goal in the Claret and Blue and another Nunes effort made it five goals to the good at the break.
Chasity Grant and Kirsty Hanson made it 7-0 before the hour mark before Nunes sealed her first hat-trick for the club with a header from inside the six-yard box.
Jill Baijings wrapped up the win and marked her debut with a fine goal on the 80th minute to make it three consecutive victories.
