Barcelona are close to confirming their first big signing of the summer, with Dani Olmo signing his contract today at the Ciutat Esportiva. He was told that his presentation would have to wait until Monday.

The Blaugrana have agreed a deal worth 62 million euros with RB Leipzig, of which 7 million euros will depend on the objectives that have been met. The 26-year-old arrived in the Catalan capital on Tuesday night with Sporting Director Deco, and was also seen taking pictures in his new shirt.

It looks like Olmo will wear the number 20 shirt this season, with many of Barcelona's 'star numbers' already taken.

He is expected to sign a six-year deal, and has already said goodbye to his old club, Leipzig, who thanked Twitter/X. Omo has spent the last four years at Leipzig following his time at Dinamo Zagreb. It is the shirt worn by former captain Sergi Roberto, whose contract expired this summer. Barcelona have yet to say goodbye to the 32-year-old.
