Real Madrid he might actually be secretly glad that Vinicius Junior It won't be at the end of a brutal clash with Uruguay in the 2024 Copa America, but the player himself will undoubtedly be cursed after picking up a crucial suspension.
Vinicius looked good in Brazil's second group game against Paraguay, scoring a brace after some fierce criticism in his own country following a 0-0 draw with Costa Rica. Brazil had a 1-1 draw against Colombia in their final match, seeing them through to the knockout stages in second place.

Set up a crunch match with Uruguay, who is one of the favorites for the competition, and beat Brazil the last time out. Vinicius will not be present though, having offered a forearm to Colombia star James Rodriguez. It is not the first time that Vinicius' discipline has been questioned, after he was almost sent off for a similar action against RB Leipzig in the Champions League for Real Madrid.
