Ollie Watkins has been named on the shortlist for the 2023/24 PFA Players’ Player of the Year award.
The Aston Villa striker is one of six players chosen by PFA members on the back of a standout season for the forward.
Watkins is up against Manchester City trio Erling Haaland, Rodri and Phil Foden, Arsenal’s Martin Ødegaard and Cole Palmer of Chelsea for the award.
The 28-year-old earned his place among the nominees with his best-ever goal return in a Premier League campaign, netting 19 times to fire Villa into the Champions League.
He also notched a league-leading 13 assists – two more than any other player.
The winner will be revealed at the PFA Awards on 20 August at the Manchester Opera House.
Congratulations and good luck, Ollie!
