West Brom have been making enquiries this morning about the possibility of signing Calum Chambers from Aston Villa.
Chambers is out of favour at Villa Park, and has failed to make a Premier League appearance this season.
The former Arsenal defender has played just 31 times for Villa in just over two years at the club and at 29, would provide an experienced option for the Baggies.
Speaking earlier this month, Emery had revealed Chambers was free to exit Villa Park, alongside Bertrand Traore.
‘Some players can leave,’ he said. ‘For example two players, Bertrand Traore and Calum Chambers and in case that situation happens we can think to add one or two players in the squad. The players we have now, we want to help and support right now.’

West Brom have been enjoying an impressive campaign amid financial problems at the club, with Carlos Corberan’s side currently sitting fifth in the Championship.
In fact, the Baggies possess the third best defence in the league, having shipped just 27 goals in 28 league games.
Cedric Kipre and Kyle Bartley have impressed at centre back, but Chambers’ ability to play in midfield, coupled with his experience, highlight his attraction to Corberan.
