The 27-year-old has admitted that he is 'Ready for a new challenge' away from Old Trafford, with United open to offers.

The news coincides with the Hammers naming Graham Potter as his new manager on Thursday morning.

Julen Lopetegui was sacked on Wednesday after a dismal eight months in charge, leaving West Ham 14th in the Premier League.

Former Chelsea and Brighton manager Potter signed a two-and-a-half-year contract at the London Stadium.

“It is a very excited day and very proud to be the coach of this incredible club,” he said in his debut press conference.

“It's a great tradition, a great story, a great expectation. A great challenge. It's a little like Christmas for adults.

“Excited, I didn't sleep very well last night just because of the excitement. I'm looking forward to meeting the players, meeting our fans and getting going.”

Rashford could become the latest player to swap United for West Ham after Aaron Wan-Bissaka completed a move last summer.

The right-back has impressed in his first season at the club, having started 18 of his 20 Premier League games so far.

Jesse Lingard enjoyed a strong spell in east London when he signed on loan from United for the second half of the 2020/21 season.

He scored nine goals and assisted four more in 16 games but, despite being linked with a permanent move, left the following summer.
