West Ham make first official offer for Borussia Dortmund striker Niclas Füllkrug

Sky Germany reports that West Ham have made their first official offer for Borussia Dortmund and Germany striker Niclas Füllkrug.

The first offer from the Premier League side is said to be €25m including add-ons for Füllkrug, however, Dortmund will continue to hold out for close to €30m. However, West Ham do not want to pay that for the 31-year-old.

It is also said that Füllkrug is interested in joining the Hammers and if he were to move to East London, the striker would sign a contract until 2027, with an option of a further year. Füllkrug would also receive the same salary as he did in Dortmund.

Again, if Dortmund ask too much for Füllkrug, West Ham will turn their attention to other targets such as Aston Villa’s Jhon Duran.

Füllkrug only joined Dortmund last summer from Werder Bremen for €17m and in his sole season at the Signal Iduna Park he scored 15 times and assisted 11 as Dortmund reached the Champions League final. If the 31-year-old does leave Dortmund, it would ease their striker problem as the arrival of Serhou Guirassy means Dortmund currently have four senior strikers. A departure of Fülklrug and even Sebastien Haller could be good news for Youssoufa Moukoko.
