The Spaniard is a versatile player, as he can play both in the attacking midfield position and in the box-to-box role. With Lucas Paquetá linked with a departure from the club in recent times, signing Méndez could be a smart acquisition if the Brazilian eventually leaves the club.
Méndez has been a key player in La Real's starting eleven of late, contributing 11 goals last season. He has now scored two goals and recorded just one assist this campaign.
