West Ham have reached an agreement with Bayern Munich to sign Noussair Mazraoui.
That’s according to Florian Plettenberg, who reports that Bayern will receive an initial €15.5m plus a further €4m in add-ons. Not only that, there’s also an agreement in principle between West Ham and Mazraoui, with only the final details left to be clarified, in which all parties are currently working on.
Manchester United did make a late push to sign Mazraoui, who played under Erik ten Hag during his time at Ajax, but it appears that the race and been won by West Ham. The first concrete talks between West Ham and the player’s representatives took place just a couple of days ago.
The 26-year-old played just 19 games in the Bundesliga for Bayern Munich last season, but missed the majority through either a muscular problem, or representing Morocco at the Africa Cup of Nations.
But with the return of Josip Stanisic following his title winning loan spell at Bayer Leverkusen, Mazraoui’s game time at Bayern would likely be even less.
