West Ham are willing to make a fresh offer for Wolves captain Max Kilman, talkSPORT understands.

The London club are clearly on the lookout for new recruits in central defence, having had an initial bid for Nice's Jean-Clair Todibo rejected.

talkSPORT understands Wolves He would be willing to part ways with his captain this summer if a suitable offer came along, but they are looking for bids in excess of £45m.

West Ham will begin the new campaign under the management of Julen Lopeteguiwho coached Kilman at Wolves.

He is also the man who made the English centre-back the club's captain for the 2022/23 season and placed a lot of faith in him as Wolves' most-used player.

Kilman also made more appearances for Wanderers than any other player last season.

The London-born star has impressed so much that he agreed terms on a new five-year contract last summer, meaning any transfer will not come cheap.

West Ham have already made one signing this summer, Luis Guilherme from Palmeiras, but their biggest change has been on the bench.
