Wolves will reject West Ham's initial £25million bid for captain Max Kilman, talkSPORT understands.

talkSPORT reported that Wolves I would be tempted to sell the central defender this summer if his assessment was met.

Wolves would be willing to part ways with the player if they receive offers over £45m.

And as a result, this will almost certainly be seen West Ham the initial offer falls short.

Should a move be completed, Kilman would be reunited with former boss Julen Lopetegui amid his arrival as West Ham's new head coach.

It was Lopetegui who named the 27-year-old his captain at Molineux during his time in charge during the 2022/23 season.

Kilman made 24 of his 151 total appearances for Wolves under the Spaniard during that campaign.

The centre-back signed a new five-year contract with the club last summer to keep him until 2028.

He played in all 38 Premier League games last season and made a further six appearances in other competitions.

Kilman could become West Ham's second signing of the summer if they can reach an agreement with Wolves.

They signed Luis Guilherme from Palmeiras, with the 18-year-old Brazilian signing a five-year contract at the London Stadium.

talkSPORT understands that West Ham are also interested in Udinese defender Nehuen Pérez and have already done so made contact about a movement.
