GOAL! Aston Villa 2-0 Man City (Rogers 65)
Morgan Rogers, former Manchester City player, has scored a good (and well-deserved) second goal for Aston Villa. Heck, Manchester City are facing their eighth defeat in 11 games. I don't remember a precedent of a great team collapsing like that.
Now it's Portsmouth 4-1 CoventryCallum Lang 4-1 Coventry in the Championship. What a story!
60 minutes: Aston Villa 1-0 Manchester City
Jhon Durán had a second goal disallowed for offside at Villa Park, where Villa are playing magnificently. In fact, as I write, the noted Morgan Rogers just shook the outside of the post.
Stay tuned!

There are three first matches of the Championship. Callum Lang has just completed a hat-trick to put Portsmouth 3-1 up at home to Frank Lampard's Coventry™.
Josh Windass has just scored the first goal of Sheffield Wednesday's ten-man match at home to Stoke (Di'Shon Bernard received a second yellow card shortly before half-time). And Hull draw 1-1 at home against Swansea.

Read John Brewin about Brentford
Thomas Frank combines knowledge of football and his ultra-competitive nature (he rarely admits that his team deserved to lose) with an adaptability to modern American-style managerial statistics. He, Matthew Benham and Phil Giles, the director of football, have decided that attack is the best form of defence, and the poor quality of opposition Premier League defenders is something to be exploited.
Brentford's influence and innovation is recognised. Working as specialists on Frank's technical team were Arsenal's set-piece guru Nicolas Jover, now celebrated with a mural outside the Emirates Stadium, and Manchester United manager Andreas Georgson. Giles has been linked with the possibility of replacing Edu as Arsenal's sporting director.
