Who is Sekou Kone? Manchester United agree deal to sign 'next Yaya Toure' from same academy as Tottenham star
A new Manchester United star could be on the horizon very soon as the club have reached an agreement to sign Sekou Kone.
He Red Devils We have agreed on a package worth one Initial £1.2 millionwith a number of performance-related add-ons.
Kone is regarded as a player with great potential and, once the deal to sign him from Guidars FC is completed, he will spend time with the Red Devils' U21 side.
However, the plan is to integrate him into some first-team training sessions so that United fans can see Kone in action sooner than expected.
Who is Sekou Kone?
Kone is an 18-year-old central midfielder considered one of the most promising talents in African football.

He was first spotted by club scouts around the world at the U-17 World Cup.
Playing for Mali, Kone was brilliant throughout the match as his country finished third.
Playing primarily in a defensive midfield role, Kone did not score, but did manage to register two assists.
The midfielder impressed with his all-round game, demonstrating a supreme ability to move the ball progressively, while out of possession, Kone showed pace to cover ground and anticipation to solve dangerous situations.
Before joining his current club, he also trained at Mali's JMG Academy, which has helped produce players such as Yves Bissouma and former Manchester United transfer target Amadou Haidara.
Because of his action-packed style, he has been nicknamed “the next one.” Yaya Toure' by many African media.
If he turns out to be even half the player of the Ivorian, Manchester United have a special talent on their hands.
Unsurprisingly, there has been plenty of competition for Kone, with Red Bull Salzburg, Crystal Palace and Wolves all linked, but it is Manchester United who have won the race for the midfielder.
Sources at Old Trafford say Kone's signing has been commissioned by the club's scouting department.
The good thing for the midfielder is that the club has a clear progression plan for him.
But since it will be his first time in Europe, Kone will be given time to settle in and adapt.
As a result, he will begin his Manchester United career playing for the Under-21s, but the hope is that he develops quickly and eventually joins the club. Kobbie Mainoo in the heart of Manchester United's midfield.
United fans will have to be patient with Kone, but can take comfort in knowing the club has a clear pathway for him to reach the first team.
If he lives up to his undoubted potential, Manchester United could eventually have their own Yaya Toure.
