Why Alexis Mac Allister will not play for Liverpool against Girona and Fulham after Everton game was suspended

As a result, the former Brighton star was sidelined for his new club's short trip to Goodison Park last weekend.
However, the first Merseyside derby of the campaign was called off hours before kick-off due to bad weather.
The rescheduled showdown is not expected until early 2025 due to both Liverpool and EvertonThe packed series of festive events.
Meanwhile, Mac Allister has already gone on vacation to Saint Moritz, a resort town in the Swiss Alps, and will not play at all this week.
The 25-year-old has been a constant figure under Arne Slot this season, but has now left the Reds short at a vital moment.
Why doesn't Mac Allister play against Girona?
Coincidentally, the Argentine international is serving a one-match suspension in both the Champions League and the Premier League.
Both his domestic and European sanctions are due to an accumulation of yellow cards, but are not related.
Mac Allister received this third booking in the Champions League in the 2-0 victory over real Madridmatch in which he later scored.

It turns out that his suspension from the Champions League coincided with a domestic match in which he was supposed to be sidelined.
The warning threshold is lower in European competition due to the reduced number of matches and bans are not extended.
Mac Allister's fifth booking in the Premier League had meant he was absent against Everton, but that derby was postponed.
As such, his separate one-match suspension extends until Liverpool's next domestic fixture, which will be at home against Fulham on Saturday.
Mac Allister's unavailability for any of this week's matches meant that Slot granted him a short break rather than being forced to train.
In the end he will have 13 days between games, with the Carabao Cup quarterfinals against Southampton their next game on December 18.
