Why is there no Premier League match at 12:30 pm this Saturday? Second consecutive lunch without action in the top category
This weekend's Premier League action will start later than usual, with again no early game scheduled for Saturday lunchtime.
English top-flight football continues to grow rapidly, except for a second consecutive game weekthere will be no start at 12:30 p.m.
ArsenalChampions League exploits meant their 4-1 win over Newcastle was rescheduled for 8pm Saturday last weekend.
However, as there are no Premier League clubs involved in Europe this week, there is a different reason why the television schedule has been changed again.
Additionally, there will only be a late start on Saturday night, with luton city accommodation Aston Villa at 5:30 p.m.
Why is there no game at 12:30 pm this Saturday?
In short, there is no kick-off on Saturday lunchtime at the first division this weekend because no games were selected for broadcast.
Under the Premier League's current broadcast deal, TNT Sports occupies Saturday's 12:30pm slot with Package A.
TNT projects the rights to 52 Premier League matches per season, which are split across the weekend lunchtime slot as well as two rounds of midweek matches.
TNT has occasionally moved its Saturday timeslot early to 8 pm if the clubs involved have played. a Champions League match away from home earlier that week, as was the case with Arsenal vs Newcastle last weekend.
However, this is only the third game week of the 2023/24 campaign in which TNT has decided not to show a live match at any time over the weekend.
