Arsenal will have Leandro Trossard available for their Premier League clash with Leicester this weekend.

The Belgian international was Sent off in the fiery 2-2 draw against Manchester City at the Etihad last weekend for two bookable offences.

Trossard received his marching orders at the end of the first 45 minutes.

However, despite this sending off coming in a top flight game, Trossard will also play in the Gunners' next game.

Why can Trossard play against Leicester?

The Belgian claimed that he did not hear the whistle and that he tried to find Gabriel Martinelli with a pass, but the referee did not understand it that way and he was sent off.

This was the second time this season the Gunners had someone sent off for kicking the ball after the same thing happened to Declan Rice in their draw with Brighton.

After the City game, Arteta was asked about the red card and he referred to another incident in which Jeremy Doku appeared to kick the ball.

He said: “There were two incidents, very similar.

“One in particular was very different, with a different result, which forces you to play a game that nobody wanted to see.”

The Spaniard later declined to comment directly on Trossard.

“You can ask me, but it is so obvious that I don’t have to comment on it.”

When asked about it again at his pre-match press conference against Bolton, he again refused to properly comment on the situation.

He said: “Well, I reflected after the game and it's the same reflection today.

“That's the same answer I gave. Go ahead, and I think I was very clear about that.”
