“The last five or six weeks have been a real rollercoaster, so I don't really know where I am except that I'm very focused on preparing the team for this game.
“And I am determined to continue to lead them as we have done for the past month.”
He continued: “I definitely took the job to try and help improve English football.
“I know what (winning) would mean not just to the general public in England but particularly to the people involved in English football, from those who develop young players to those who run clubs at all levels of the game.
“I really think we've improved the credibility of English football in how it's perceived around the world.
“But ultimately, until we win that trophy, there will always be those questions, both abroad and at home, about what we have done.”

Southgate is on the verge of becoming an English icon and Even being knightedwith his team one victory away from glory.
He has faced criticism throughout the tournament, however, he has overcome the pressure and masterminded another successful run at a major tournament.
If England win Euro 2024, which will be their first international trophy since 1966, he could continue in his role.
And that means he could still be in charge of the World Cup 2026.
But if they miss the final again, there could be a change.
The FA's list of possible replacements includes Graham Potter, Eddie Howe and the under-21 boss Lee Carsleybut there have been no talks with any candidate.
