Youri Tielemans couldn’t contain his anger as he unleashed a flurry of punches in the dugout at Wembley after England’s late equaliser against Belgium rescued a 2-2 draw for the hosts on Tuesday.

The Aston Villa and Belgium midfielder had twice put the visitors ahead in the tie – first pouncing on a mistake by Jordan Pickford before scoring his second of the night following a brilliant assist by Romelu Lukaku

His brace had put Belgium on-track for a first famous victory over England at Wembley before Jude Bellingham struck in the fifth minute of stoppage time to deny the visitors a famous result.

Tielemans was disgusted by his side’s late consolation and fumed in the technical area as Belgium surrendered their lead with virtually the final kick of the game.

The 26-year-old has made a knack of scoring at the home of English football having previously found the net in Leicester’s 2021 FA Cup triumph over Chelsea, but there was no signs of celebration on this occasion.

As Bellingham’s late strike raced into the bottom corner, Tielemans screamed in frustration before turning and throwing a series of punches into one of the seats in the dugout.

He then appeared to shout ‘bull****’ in the direction of Bellingham and the other celebrating England stars.

Bellingham and his colleagues seemed unfazed by Tielemans’ actions, with the Real Madrid midfielder heaping praise on England’s performance ahead of this summer’s European Championship.

Bellingham told Channel 4 after the match: ‘I liked it [the goal] because I know the rubbish we would have got if we lost two games on the bounce.

‘These are two games that are going to stand us in good stead going into the Euros. I know people will be negative, but you have to take these games for what they are.

‘You’ve got to keep perspective. We had a lot of lads making debuts, and a lot of lads I’ve never played with.

‘We created a lot of chances. I should have scored [earlier in the game], I was happy I could make it up to the team.’
