According to Fabrizio Romano, Youssoufa Moukoko’s move from Borussia Dortmund to Marseille is on the verge of collapse.
It had previously been reported that the Ligue 1 outfit were closing in on a deal for the German striker.
However, no agreement between Marseille and Dortmund could be found, and Roberto De Zerbi’s side are now prepared to pull out of a potential deal.
With Moukoko’s future at Dortmund at a standstill, Bild revealed that Dortmund would be prepared to demote the 19-year-old to the reserves for the upcoming campaign should he fail to find a club this summer.
This threat was due to the remarks made by Moukoko’s agent, Patrick Williams, which are said to have frustrated BvB.
Nevertheless, there are still a number of clubs interested in luring Moukoko away from the Westfalenstadion.
Now that Marseille are out of the race, Lille could pull away after going head-to-head with their fellow Ligue 1 side to secure Moukoko’s signature.
