Zlatan Ibrahimovic may not have spent much time at Manchester United, but their “crazy” fans left a lasting impression on him.
He 42 years old He achieved cult status among fans during his brief spell at Old Trafford between 2016 and 2018.
The maverick striker arrived on a free transfer from Paris Saint-Germain and scored 29 goals in 53 games in all competitions.
In his first season he won three trophies, with United triumphing in the League Cup, the Europa League and the Community Shield.

And then he bagged a brace at the home of football in a thrilling 3-2 League Cup final win over Southampton.
He had a disappointing second campaign, making just seven appearances, before his contract was terminated four months before the end of the season.

“I thought, 'Wow,' this was something special, and they kept signing for 45 minutes, and I thought, 'Listen, I haven't even started playing my game yet.'”
“When you get that support, you obviously feel stronger and you carry that with you and you just want to give back.
“I tried to put on a show for the fans.”
Zlatan's iconic chant was directed at the club's rivals, Manchester City, against whom he scored on his debut in the Manchester derby.
He said: “Zlatan Ibrahimovic, he's a Swedish hero, he came for free from PSG and he didn't cost us a f***.”
“He's 1.96 metres tall, he's tough as fuck, he gets the Reds excited, he'll shove City up your arse, because we're Manchester United.”
Following his release from United, Ibrahimovic immediately joined MLS club LA Galaxy, where he spent two years, scoring 53 goals in 58 appearances.
He then returned to the San Siro for his third spell at AC Milan, where he helped them win the Serie A title in 2022.
Having called it a day in 2023, he now works as a senior advisor to the Rossoneri.
