Real Madrid will go for their third trophy of the season on Sunday as they prepare to face Barcelona in the Spanish Super Cup final. Los Blancos were hoping for a repeat of last year's event in Saudi Arabia, which they won 4-1 after a hat-trick from Vinicius Junior.
Carlo Ancelotti spoke to the media on Saturday ahead of the match, and confirmed that he will have Aurelien Tchouameni, Federico Valverde and Jude Bellingham available to face Barcelona, after the trio suffered knocks during the semi-final win over Mallorca Thursday (via MD).
“We came to the match in good shape. With a lot of enthusiasm and a lot of desire. The problems we had against Mallorca have been solved and all the players are available. Bellingham is good, he has recovered well. It is very important because it was in a good run. He is a player who in this moment made the difference.”
Ancelotti also gave his thoughts on how he believes his Real Madrid side can be victorious on Sunday.
“In El Clasico, quality prevails over the balance of the team and this is one of the reasons why the last Clasicos have been a little more crazy. It is an important aspect in tomorrow's game that of the defense. If defend well, there is a better chance of winning.”
